Actor and gospel singer Ken Kayange opens up on why he did the film a letter to my parents.

"That's not my story."

Clearly, it is undeniable that the story moved many people who had an opportunity to watch the emotional letter that has been voiced and narrated with a video attached to it on YouTube.  Many people keep asking whether that was a real-life story.... My Answer is - Yes.

This short film was deeply inspired by the things that were happening in my life at that moment when I was writing the script. Literally, that was the lowest moment of my life, I had lost my job, lost most of the things that I had deemed as valuable to me. The circumstances which led to my loosing of the job were unclear and left me heartbroken in a big way. I didn't know how to move on from it and life stopped for a moment.

Looking back at the happenings, I imagined how many people went through the same issues daily. It is obvious that, many people suffer in silence and hence end up into depression.
